Do you charge extra per night for more than 2 guests?
No. Unlike many other rental cabins in Brown County, we don’t nickel-n-dime you!
If I make a reservation, how much is the deposit?
There is a $50 non-refundable deposit due when the reservation is made. The $50 is included in the total price and is subject to taxes as well.
What is your cancellation policy?
Reservations can be cancelled with no charge (minus the $50 deposit) a full 14 days prior to the check-in date. Cancellations within 14 days of the check-in date will be charged for 1 night at the regular nightly rate. No refunds for cancellations made day of check-in or for “no shows”.
When is the reservation payment due?
There is a $50 non-refundable deposit due when the reservation is made. The remainder will be charged about 7 days prior to your arrival date. All payments must be made from a credit card.
Why is there a cleaning fee?
It covers the cost of the cleaning service. They do a great job keeping the cabin clean between each set of guests.
What are the check in and out times?
Check in is at 4 P.M. and check out is 11 A.M.
Can we have more than 6 people stay at the cabin?
Sorry, no. The cabin is zoned, by the county, to only allow 6 guests to sleep in the cabin. You can, however, have a few more visit during the day.. but no gatherings or get-togethers greater than 10 people are allowed (without prior consent).
Can we drop off our things earlier than the 4 P.M. check in?
We don’t allow guests arriving earlier than the regular 4 P.M. check in time, however sometimes exceptions can be made. If this is important to your travel plans, call us to make arrangements.
Is the cabin private?
Yes, the cabin is remote enough and surrounded by enough forests to offer you plenty of privacy. The closest neighbor is about 1/4 mile away and not really visible from the cabin.
Are there fish in the pond and do we need a fishing license?
The pond is stocked with bluegill and crappie. You don’t need a fishing license.
Where do we pick up the key?
The front door uses an access code, so no keys are required! The code will be emailed to you after your reservation has been paid in full.
Where exactly is the cabin located?
For the privacy of our guests, we do not give out the exact address until you book the cabin. However you can view this fun map of Brown County to get an idea of where we are located.
What do we need to bring? What do you provide?
We provide most everything you need. You’ll need to food, drink, clothes and toiletries. A full list can be viewed on the info page.

Do you provide firewood for the firepit?
Yes, as available. If you want to buy your own, there are quite a few places in the county that sell firewood bundles. We suggest the IGA grocery store in Nashville.
